Our Process
Step 1: Site Plan
Before any power washing even begins, our teams will identify any known or visible hazards. Our crews will do a physical inspection of the property identifying
- storm drain entry points
- possible sanitary sewer drains
- local landscape conditions
- water collection points
- water flow characteristics
Step 2: Containment
Once our power washing begins, the dirty wash water must be contained. Our team uses several tools for this process including:
- sand bags
- oil absorbents
- filters
- sand berms
- water bags
- drain covers
- rubber and polyurethane mats
Step 3: Collection
Our team has highly specialized gas powered vacuums and water pumps to recover our dirty wash water. Some of our vacuums are highly customized “auto discharge vacuums” while others have special filtration systems on them designed to filter many of the unwanted oils, particulates, and sediment that is recovered.
Depending on the specific job conditions, we may collect the water immediately after it is power washed at the source while on other projects it may make more sense to funnel the water to a low point were we cover the drains and set up a collection point.
Step 4: Disposal / Recycling
KC Power Clean has some of the most advanced recycling equipment that is available for mobile power wash contractors. Our waste water recycling tools can actually clean our dirty wash water to a level where it is clean enough to even reuse in washing process.
Our water recovery and recycling systems allow us to either
- Closed Loop system where we reuse the water for future cleaning activities after processing through an oil/water separation and filtration system down to 5 micron
- treat the water by flocculation for removal of oils, toxic materials, and suspended and dissolved solids
- discharge back onto local landscape after initial filtration
- discharge to a sanitary sewer drain after removing oils and suspended solids down to 20 micron (regulations vary by municipality)
- discharge to an onsite clarifier if the clarifier is designed to properly handle the waste
- safely drum and haul the water away for further processing at a water processing plant through a privately licensed transporter
Which method we utilize will be strategically selected based on the amount of waste water that our power washing generates and the toxicity of the water.

Absolutely thrilled with the service we received from KC Power Clean - our house faces the trail and canyon and our roof was filthy with dirt and mold, especially in the front where we don’t get a lot of sunshine until late afternoon. Had it power washed in 2020 (not by KC power) and it slowly started looking dirty again.Damian came out and did an inspection of the roof and identified broken tiles, he power washed and sealed the roof and replaced all broken and chipped tiles. The roof looks brand new! Many of my neighbors have commented on how good it looks and they want to get theirs done as well.Unfortunately, I did not take pictures prior to the completed job.I would highly recommend KC Power to anyone looking to have their roof cleaned.I would also add that they were very responsive and updated us every step of the way!

I am more than pleased with the work that they have done multiple times at my house.3 times a year, they come and clean my solar, which totally helps me save money on my P.G& E , and in the beginning I didn't realize what a difference it would make. They also pigeon proofed my solar and the little nooks and crannies around my roof.. That in itself is such a blessing. I'm not a big fan of pigeons and the mess they make. They also have removed tough water spots that were on my car, and on the windows on my home. I will definitely be using them for many years to come. They are friendly, affordable and professional. I would refer them to anyone I know.

Their team was very professional and with the biggest power washing equipment that I've ever seen! It sat on a trailer pulled by a full size truck and the pressure that the power wash displaced could have cleaned the entire street! I had oil stains from at least 10 years old to recent leaks caused by a faulty oil pan plug from my BMW X1. Not a problem with their cleaning solution and brush they were able to lift and blast away years of grime, stains and dirt that I thought would be impossible to clean. I'm sold on doing a routine cleaning once or twice a year when needed!

I had a major problem with overgrown weeds in the joints of my pavers, so I reached out to KC Power Clean after seeing their strong online reviews.Although there was a small hiccup at the start with the number of workers assigned, the overall experience was excellent. A huge part of that success was thanks to the technician, Gerardo, who went above and beyond.He removed every weed by hand, power washed the entire area, filled the joints with sand, and applied sealant to finish the job. He also took the time to answer all my questions with patience and professionalism.I would absolutely recommend KC Power Clean for a job well done!

Had my roof cleaned by KC Power Clean and I’m super happy with how it turned out! KC Power is soooo easy to work with and the follow-up is fantastic. Prior to the day of the clean, they kept in constant contact with me to make sure everything was perfect. Charles showed up earlier than scheduled so as to get an early start. He worked non-stop the entire day and into the evening stopping only for water/coffee breaks...no lunch!He was constantly asking me if the job he was doing was to my satisfaction...it was a very big job. He cleaned the roof 2x, then the gutters and then he did the whole outside of the house. Plus he cleaned the awnings and windows. The amount of dirt, pine needles, leaves and other junk was endless. The stone walkways around the house and yard were covered in mud and debris. So of course, he then power washed all the walkways. Also, all the plants/trees around the yard got covered with dirty water and they needed cleaning. At no time did Charles balk at going back over a spot if I thought it needed additional attention. He's an animal at working hard and when it comes to making sure the customer is fully satisfied. He's extremely courteous, respectful and hard working. Great Job Charles.

They pressure washed my tile roof and sealed it. Plus they sandblasted peeled paint from the concrete patio and walkway. And they sandblasted the calcium from the tile backsplash of my spa. The workers really worked hard and did an amazing job. I appreciate the communication with them as well.

Dangers of Ignoring Service
Not only does KC Power Clean Inc have several power washing rigs that are capable of amazing cleaning results but we are environmentally compliant with the Clean Water Act of 1972. This law forbids hazardous wash-water discharge into the Storm Drains (MS4). These drains lead to our local waterways (ie rivers, lakes, oceans etc). If violators of the Clean Water Act are caught, they are punishable by fines up to $10,000. What’s worse is that even the property owner who hired the company may also be liable for punishments or fines up to an equal amount. To protect our customers and ourselves from this potential occurrence, we utilize best management practices (BMP’s). Our power wash rigs are equipped with vacuums capable of collecting and recycling the dirty wash-water. We can even recycle the vacuumed water by passing it through an industrial filtration system so that we can reuse the water in our wash techniques. This is known as a “closed-loop, zero discharge system”.
Furthermore, for your protection, we can even document the environmentally compliant power wash methods utilized on your project on what we refer to as a “Pollution Prevention Voucher“. This voucher acts as our written promise that we will be compliant with the Clean Water Act and gives you the assurance of a project done safely.
Our water recycling equipment is from top manufacturers such as Hydrotek and Water Treatment Technologies. These powerful vacuums have the capability of pumping out the reclaimed water and cleaning the water free of it’s harmful contaminants so that it may be appropriately discharged.
KC Power Clean Inc works with the best suppliers of environmentally compliant tools and products. One of our oil absorbents that we utilize is call HTP. This product is revolutionary in the ways which it encapsulates oil and turns it into a dry waste. It has been approved by the EPA (see approval letter).
