About KC Power Clean
KC Power Clean is an owner/operated company. The owner, Kris Cook, has developed a passion for serving people's needs. Working his way through college, he discovered that one practical way to do so was to provide a reliable window cleaning and pressure washing service.
How did KC Power Clean Form?
Many people ask me (Kris Cook), "What made you decide to clean windows?..." So let me tell you how KC Power Clean started.
When I was 20 years old, and at the end of my sophomore year at Biola University, I bought a gallon of paint to refinish the dorm-room where my girlfriend, and now wife, was living (pictured to the right). After the painting was done, I loaded up the remaining half-gallon of white latex paint and went home. As I arrived to my house, I opened up the rear door of my truck, and out dropped the half gallon of paint; all over the sidewalk. Being young and dumb, I pulled out the hose and washed the paint down into the street.
Everything seemed fine until I left and came back home at midnight, and I arrived to a fleet of two large pressure washing vehicles that were cleaning the paint out of the city's drain. Long-story made short, I was fined $5,600 for improper handling of latex paint. Being a 20 year-old, full-time student-athlete at Biola University, I had no money saved so I was heading home for the summer deeply indebted to my gracious father. Halfway through that summer, I wanted to start making more money because "good-old" dad was still paying me the same $10/hour that he was paying me when I was 14 years old.
By God's grace, my eyes were open to a good opportunity when my father scheduled my friend and me to a residential window cleaning job (He owns a fairly large building maintenance company). He said that if we did a good job, we could split the check. After working for 4 hours with my friend and meeting a nice family, I realized that cleaning windows was fun and relatively easy with the right amount of experience and the correct tools.
Later that night, I came home and told my father (and boss) that I was considering starting my own business. Window cleaning was fun and it provided a good work environment for someone who liked to meet new people and work during the day. My father wished me luck and said "Go get'em."
Since then, my baseball playing days at Biola University are over and done with, and with a degree in Business Management in my hand, I am eager to put some of that education to good use. KC Power Clean has been growing its operations in Orange County, Southern California by serving its new and existing customers with as much care as possible. If you're reading this for the first time, we hope you try our service.
